Join me for a trip to my favourite place in Nepal, a trip far beyond the usual, to a place where time has almost stood still, where the medieval lifestyle still takes place within this other- worldly landscapes. Nestled between 7-8000 meters peaks on either side, Kagebeni forms a green oasis abundant with pink buckwheat fields and apple orchards.
The trip combines yoga with cultural exploration as we find ourselves in a land loaded with myths and stories, where pilgrims stream to the holy waters of Muktinath and tourists try their luck at the 5416 meters Thorung la pass. Here you will meet pilgrims from India, Tibet and Nepal, mixed with trekkers, horse caravans and goat herds.
Day 1 : meet at Shambaling Hotel, Kathmandu: Check in, enjoy a restorative yoga class and take a stroll down to the stupa to enjoy dinner with a view. Sleep in style in this charming hotel in the Tibetan part of Kathmndu.
Day 2 Fly to Phokara: then drive to Kalopani: Early 20 min flight with spectacular mountain views, then drive to Kalopani. Overnight at Kalopani Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 3. Explore around Kalopani area then drive to Kagbeni: Morning yoga and meditation with Dharma session. Then hike to Titi lake or Hike to Sekung lake. Evening yoga session. Overnight Kalopani, meals breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Day 4 Drive to Kagebeni and hike to Tiri: Morning yoga in our hotel. Drive to Kagebeni. Det hike to nearby village Tiri, where time has almost stood still. Enjoy village life and local hospitality. Overnight Kagebeni. Meals: Breakfast, lunch &dinner.
Day 5 Kagebeni: Yoga retreat day: After morning yoga and breakfast we visit the local temple for a meditation and Dharma session. After lunch we continue with yoga workshop in our hotel, then a restorative evening class and chanting session. Overnight at Lhasa hotel. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Day 6 Kagebeni yoga and hike to Dzong and Muktinat: Today we are up for an eventful hike to the most sacred place in the area, the Muktinat temple, sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. On the way we pass the ancient village Dzong. Overnight at Lo Mustang. meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Day 7 Muktinath yoga and trek to Lubra: After morning yoga, we make the spectaculer trek to another ancient villege, Lubra, nestled at the riverbanks and housing an ancient Bön temple, belonging to the ancient Pre-Buddhist Tibetan religion. Drive to Marpha, a charming Tharkali village famous for its apple orchards and excellent food. We visit the large monastery there and light some candles for our friends and family. Overnight at Marpha (local guesthouse.) Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Day 8 Marpha- drive to Pokhara: After breakfast we start on our way back to Pokhara. The afternoon is free to explore Pokharas lakeside shops and restaurant, or perhaps you just want to chill by the pool in our hotel. Overnight at Temple Tree. Meals: Breakfast, lunch.
Day 9 Pokhara exploration day: After yoga and breakfast you may want to go for a boat trip on the Phewa lake and walk up to the Peace stupa, from where you have an excellent view of Pokhara, and the surroundings. We meet up for our last dinner together. Overnight at Temple Tree. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 10 Fly Kathmandu: After our last yoga session together we close the circle and end the retreat. We catch a flight back to Kathmandu, where we drop you in Thamel (or Shambaling, Boudhanath)

Start: TBA. Check-in from 1pm onwards at Shambaling Hotel, Boudha. Meeting with the group at 16.00 pm in the hotel´s garden
Finish: TBA drop in Kathmandu. We can assist you with finding a hotel
Food is Nepali and vegetarian
Included: accommodation, Yoga tuition, transport to-from retreat trek, flight Kathmandu - Phokara, accommodation guides during trek, all meals during trek and otherwise as mentioned in itinerary
Not included: Airfare to/from Nepal, Transfer to/from Kathmandu airport (easily arranged by your hotel), Nepal Visa, alcoholic drinks, extra meals, tips to staff and porters
